MADHOUSE ANIMATION STUDIO Originating from Japan's first and most renowned animation company, Mushi Productions, MADHOUSE was established as an animation production studio based in Tokyo, Japan in 1972. MADHOUSE handles every aspect of animation creation with departments for project development, script writing, directing, painting, background arts, and even shooting on film. They have been successfullly producing all forms of animation theatrical projects, original video animation, TV animation, promotional shorts, animation advertisements for TV, and even picture books. In 1989 MADHOUSE was awarded for achievements and contribution in original video animation by the Sixth Annual Japanese Animation Awards.
